OurWorldMyEye.com has been set up to accompany and run alongside my main website www.johnhouse.co.uk
I first established the blog in April 2009 as a place to record my many thoughts and snap shots about the world – since then, I have continued to populate it with everything and anything that I find interesting about the world around me.

I am a photographer living and working on the South East coast of England. For as long as I can remember I have been interested in photography and the visual world – buying my first camera (a battered and very old box brownie) from a school fair at the age of 10. Since then I have been fascinated with the process of making photographs and have followed this passion ever since.
In 2007 I graduated from the University of Brighton with a BA(Hons) in Photography. Alongside working on my own practice and commissioned
pieces, I work in art education.
My work is mostly concerned with how people interact with the environment around them and how the landscape we live and work in, is shaped by us and what this can say about cultural identities. I am fascinated with the overlooked beauty that surrounds us and continue to be intrigued by how things will look through a lens.
