It is certainly the easiest way I found anyway! I have seen other people making a mask for the end of their existing lens, but I quite like the lens off approach myself!
You can pick up spare body caps for a few quid too, so I bought myself one, drilled the hole carefully and keep it in my camera bag so if I ever feel like going pinhole...I can!

To be honest, my way is not the cleanest however as you will always get a fuzzy and unevean image. The best approach is to cut a larger hole in the body cap and then stick a piece of foil or thin card over that which has the actual pinhole on it.

The hardest part is making sure the hole is dead centre!

On the subjects of cameras... My father had an old Minolta SLR (2 lenses etc). It is probably 20 years old now (way before digital). No idea what to do with it. Do you ever use non-digital anymore?
