HARRY WATTS – THE SHOT I NEVER FORGOT

As promised in my innaugural post launching The Shot I Never Forgot , I have put the call out to photographers and some great submissions have begun coming in.

I am delighted to have Harry Watts as the real first photographer for this feature as I can’t really count myself.  I have been following Harry’s work for a while and find an ongoing fascination in the amazing found sculptures he records from moments of everyday life. For me Harry’s work champions the belief that you really can find beauty in anything if you look at it in the right way.
So without further ado…I hand you over to the man himself.

The photograph was taken in a builders yard while I was working on a ongoing series about construction. Still in the very early stages, the series is one that I will come back too very soon. This image has always stayed in my mind. I am not one for many words or one to giving countless reasons for why I like an image, so I shall not be doing that  here, where simply I just find this image fascinating, deceptive and fun.
