A STOLEN KISS BETWEEN POLYSTYRENE LOVERS
A FRANK APOLOGY TO MY POLYSTYRENE LOVERS
You said you missed me.
I missed you. I am sorry, for it has been too long.
However, my excuses are few but reasonable and revolve around:
1) a concentration on my Photographic work, including a huge new exhibition in Brighton (a post on this to follow tout suite).
2) I have undertaken the sin of all sins and begun training to be a teacher. Yes, the plunge has finally been taken and the initial workload is rather deliciously voluminous.
BUT you don’t want to hear about all that. In fact, as an interesting aside, I once read on a ’20 top tips to get blog success’ style article, that the cardinal sin of any blogger is to acknowledge the fact, or apologise for, not posting for a while. Yet I feel compelled as our bond is stronger than that.
BUT you don’t want to hear about that either – you want to know about the stolen kiss.
I know what you are thinking
“does he mean a stolen kiss with us, his keen readers, where he is using the the metaphor of an aromatic polymer made from the monomer styrene to compare to our brittle but long lasting relationship?”
No I am not. But I know what you are NOW thinking
“has he started a creative writing course and this is the opening line from a questionable short story he will come to regret in later life”
No, I have not. You need to be more literal my friends. I simply mean that I spotted today, a tender moment between two Polystyrene lovers and it touched my heart. I hope it touches yours.
